Resurfaced Innocence is a the collection of nine 12x12 watercolor panels. It's featured in my solo exhibition Crossing the Bar (2020). Painted with attention to detail, each painting is based off of a fuzzy memory. Internet meme culture refers to phrase" unlocking a core memory"-  used to describe the sudden, often nostalgic recollection of a significant past event, or object commonly triggered by a sensory cue. Resurfaced Innocence is exactly that- vividly remembered details that evokes a powerful sense of my past. Warm blurry memories of my childhood, associated with the memory of my late father, preserved on paper.
